 I hope you guys have loved reading Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson as much as I have! I am posting 5 questions related to the book and I would like for you all to answer them in the comments, no need to reply to a classmate unless you really want to! These questions apply to the first section of the book that I have assigned. If you are reading ahead be careful to not spoil anything in the comments for your peers.  1) List 3 things that go wrong for Melinda on her first day of high school. 2) Melinda describes herself as "a wounded zebra." What does this metaphor tell us about her character? If you were an animal, what would you be? Why?  3) Melinda has been painting watercolors of trees that have been hit by lightning.  Hello Students! It's so great to have you! 😄 You may be raising your hand to ask right now, why do we need a class blog? ✋ Our class blog will serve as a way for me to communicate with all of you when you aren't in my classroom.
